Chelsea are seeking €8M for Cesar Azpilicueta this summer. Barcelona and Xavi consider him as a prioirty but feel that the asking price is too high and do not want to pay this price at the moment. They will ‘keep insisting’ over the next few days.

Chelsea’s new owners understand that it will be difficult to find a high-level replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta in terms of his performance, injury record and leadership.

Cesar Azpilicueta ‘already has an offer from Chelsea’ but hopes that Barcelona will make progress.

Barcelona boss Xavi’s priorities this summer are to sign Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta, Robert Lewandowski, and to renew Ousmane Dembele’s contract.
